PRO Rugby's Ohio Aviators are stationed in the city of Obetz, just around the corner from the state capital of Columbus. Led by Paul Barford, this is truly a homegrown team, with players hailing from cities like Hudson, Toledo, Westerville and Akron. That strong local backbone along with considerable talent from across the country and overseas means Ohio is set to make waves out west this season.

Meet Our Team
Barford is a native of England, where he played for the storied Leicester Tigers. Not only is he a certified World Rugby educator, but he holds the highest World Rugby Level 3 certification. For the past 35 years, Barford has dedicated himself to USA Rugby and has been a key figure in the development of many Eagles from his work with U17, U18, U19, and U20 programs. He has also coached with the USA Men’s A side, the South, and Life University.
As a founding partner, Holmes has been instrumental in establishing the Tiger Rugby High Performance Academy in Columbus, Ohio. He played rugby in South Africa, England and UAE and has been directly involved in rugby development and coaching in South Africa, England, the Middle East, UAE and USA, most recently with USA Rugby 7’s program.
Hogan brings over twenty years of coaching experience to PRO Rugby Ohio. He spent five years establishing the elite youth program at the world famous Leicester Tigers Junior Academy and has been a guest coach and advisor at various American rugby institutions. Hogan also writes for Rugby Coach Weekly and is the author of four best-selling instructional rugby books.
